How long does it take?

Each treatment takes about 20 minutes. This is only a little bit longer than a coffee break, but the effects are far more beneficial than a cuppa. These 20 minutes can be incorporated into anybody’s day regardless of how busy they are.

However, sometimes it is not practical to give staff 20 minutes each. If you have a large number of staff and or a limited budget or time frame then a shorter duration may suit. Pampering Palms also offers Massage at your desk days. This is a popular workstation workout, which includes a 10 minute upper back, shoulder and neck massage, which helps reverse the effects of being sat at a desk or computer all day. As it is carried out at the desk it does not interfere with the working day.

When you contact me to make a booking I will design a massage programme or session to suit your needs

How convenient is it for you and your staff?

All treatments offered are well suited to the corporate environment because they are flexible and the recipient does not need to undress. They are performed in the office with only a small space needed to perform treatments, no equipment needs to be provided and no messy oils are used, and afterwards the employee is relaxed, alert and ready to get back to work.

Treatments

Seated Meridian Acupressure Massage

Seated Meridian Acupressure massage is performed on an ergonomically designed chair to give you the maximum comfort and support. The treatment focuses on the back, shoulders, neck, head, arms and hands. Seated Meridian Acupressure Massage is similar to but goes beyond, on site or chair massage, usually offered.

It is not just a massage, it incorporates Indian Head Massage, Yoga, Acupressure, work on the meridians in the body, stretching and working on marma points. These techniques bring the nervous system to a state of relaxation crucial

for maintaining holistic health. The state of our nervous system determines how efficiently the rest of our physiological systems function.

Opens up the back muscles, relieves strain on the neck and provides a gentle respite for eyes glued to a computer all day.

Most office-related physical symptoms can be attributed to loss of circulation. Tight muscles caused by stress and sitting behind a desk all day. The result is mental fogginess, decreased energy and susceptibility to repetitive stress injuries, like carpal tunnel syndrome. Massage to the neck, back, arms and hands can increase circulation, return energy levels and helping keep the body injury free.

Indian Head Massage

Indian Head Massage or 'Champissage' is based on ancient Indian Ayurvedic healing. Involving work on the upper back, shoulders, neck, scalp and face using a variety of massage movements to relieve accumulated tension, stimulate circulation and restore joint mobility. This massage promotes blood flow to the head area thus nourishing the area with oxygen. This in turn assists with increased mental focus, allowing employees to feel more alert. It can also assist with alleviation of tension headaches, eyestrain and lethargy.

Remedial Massage

Remedial massage uses deep tissue massage techniques to release muscular tension or pain whether sports related, stress related or simply down to bad posture.

Remedial Massage uses deep tissue massage techniques to treat and prevent musculoskeletal problems whilst promoting physical and mental wellbeing.

Some massage techniques are used to stretch muscle tissue and release tension from joints to keep the body flexible. Others are used to stimulate the circulation, remove waste products and speed up the healing process.
