BABY MASSAGE

My Baby Massage Instruction Sessions are, first and foremost, run by the babies. Sessions are spontaneous and unpredictable at times, but always fun and supportive!

Baby massage sessions are open to all, parents/carers and their babies and other family members and friends who may be involved in caring for your baby.

Baby Massage can aid their healthy development, so healthy, or colicky, your baby will still benefit from the massage.

Baby massage can have the following benefits;

Helps alleviate baby ailments such as colic, wind and constipation

Help to induce sleep

Soothe teething pains

Relieves congestion and blocked noses

Encourages muscular co-ordination and joint mobility

I will complete a consultation with you to ensure that the massage would be suitable for your baby. This Consultation is carried out on your first visit as every parent and baby has different needs and requirements.

The session will then teach you the parent(s) / carer(s), the techniques for giving your baby a full body massage.

A series of movements will then be demonstrated to you, and I will help you to practice these on your baby, in order that you can carry out the massage at home.

The Baby Massage Instruction Session can take place in your home, at my treatment room, or a location where you feel comfortable. The instruction session can either be carried out on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.

After the initial session, I will arrange to meet with you and your baby again to review your progress and to discuss any further questions you may have. Further sessions can be offered which involve a variety of other movements for you to practise on your baby.

Classes can be arranged if you know other parents/carers who would be interested in massaging their babies, and it is a great way to socialise with other parents!
